The Civic Si sedan, which is new for 2004, also receives the 127 hp four cylinder engine with variable valve timing (VTEC), 15-inch tires with alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped shift knob, carbon fiber, such as grooming on the instrument panel and console, moonroof power with tilt / slide feature and sliding sunshade, and open the front headrests.
The basic price of sedan Civic Si is $ 21.500 with a 5 speed manual gearbox, and standard features include power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control and anti-lock brakes.
If cars were film characters, the Honda Civic would likely be cast as the bespectacled Brainiac to save the world with quiet competence.
Honda engineers must have spent many hours making the Civic, as simple and carefree as possible.
The hatchback Si is the most in the hot Civic lineup, which has spunkier 160-hp, 2.0-liter engine.
The Civic is available in a sedan, coupe or hatchback and comes in a number of different trims. The two-door coupe styling is cleaner than the sedan, but there's really no functional difference between the two.
All Civics are fuel and environmentally friendly, but a couple of models take these benefits to the extreme. The Civic HX coupe is 44 mpg on regular unleaded. More extreme is the Civic Hybrid, which gets up to 51 mpg on regular unleaded. Since Si is the top-of-the-line Civic sedan, I'm not sure what the buttons would never be used.
Extremely practical Honda Civic rolls into 2004 with a skilful, but significantly new look.
Honda Civic is an icon. Honda sells more than 325,000 Civics a year in the U.S., making it one of the best-selling compacts of America. Civics are known for excellent fuel economy and sporty handling.
The Honda Civic line is composed of a family of different models. Coupes and sedans are available. Until level Civics come with powerful VTEC engines that provide fast acceleration.
Owning and driving a Civic Hybrid is like life with a regular Civic. There's also a Civic GX sedan that burns natural gas; Honda claims to be the cleanest internal combustion engine in the world.
Small sedans have entered the war power in a big way, and the 2004 Civic Si Sedan is a rather half-hearted effort to maintain. Now available with 127 horsepower 1.7-liter VTEC four-cylinder engine borrowed from the Civic Si Coupe, and some new sports chassis, the new sedan Civic Si is not really a race to bulk up its competitors.
Undoubtedly, the Civic Si sedan has better fuel economy than many, but buyers looking for fuel economy will probably choose the 115 bhp DX, SE, and LX sedans Civic. The Si Sedan is for those who want more performance and sporty look.
The interior of the 2004 Civic Si Sedan is well equipped and the controls are typically Honda-simple and easy to operate.
To the left of the steering wheel are controls for the power sunroof, power mirrors, and the main cruise control, while the secondary functions are cruising at the wheel. There is no center armrest fold.
The Civic is notable for its high ceiling and spacious interior, which will comfortably seat four adults.
The Civic Si is very easy to drive car. Small and lightweight with manoeuverable (variable power assist) steering, 5,6 far turn, an excellent manual and a light clutch, the Civic is a great car to whip around town.
But even more powerful engine 127 hp, the Si Sedan is weak during acceleration due to its low rating torque (114 lb-ft @ 4800). The Si Sedan is a car fun to drive
